My story

In 2013, I was in the third trimester of my pregnancy when I started to experience seemingly unrelated symptoms, including tinnitus, numbing on hands and feet, gut issues, extreme itchiness, and anxiety.

I was worried but opted to blame it all on pregnancy hoping it would resolve on its own. Unsurprisingly, post-partum did not help but only worsened my symptoms and brought about new ones.

Fast forward to 2015, I was getting ready for a big move with my husband and my then 18 months old daughter to San Francisco from London. There was dizziness, brain fog, painful eczema, and extreme fatigue when the migraines arrived.

It was unsustainable but I was caught up in the whirlwind of my life and my well-meaning husband did not want to see that there could be something more than a stressed sleep deprived mom with a demanding job. And in all fairness, he could not see it. That is the irony of chronic health conditions:

They are invisible.

All those who do not suffer them cannot understand what you are going through, and you are afraid of judgment, of being seen as weak, so you work twice as hard to keep it together.

My health hit rock bottom shortly after the move. My body broke down under the additional stress of moving continents and building our lives from scratch.

That is when the pilgrimage to doctors started and I was diagnosed with Hashimotos, gut dysbiosisSIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth), adrenal fatigue and EBV (Epstein-Barr virus).

Peeling layer after layer of symptoms and connecting them to certain nutrition, lifestyle and mindset habits was a arduous work and it wasn’t until I discovered functional nutrition that I was able to understand why all these things were happening to me and how to create the life that was conductive of good health for my unique body.

Experiencing the big impact that lifestyle and nutrition had in my own health, propelled me to study functional nutrition and today, I have a private practice where I help people struggling with digestive issues, migraines, stress, autoimmune conditions, hormones imbalances and more.

With my guidance, they discover what practices, foods and lifestyle choices help them regain their vitality and live their best life.
